III International Violin Workshops 2003 for children taught by means of the Suzuki Method. Suzuki Method meets the most stringent criteria of modern pedagogy and psychology. No other method is better or more successfull in developing childrens musicality from the earliest age. Suzuki Method doesn’t discriminate against any child and manages to uncover child’s best ability. Its purpose is not to create professional instrumentalists, however. It aims to develop children’s minds through learning to play an instrument. To illustrate the truth of this approach Suzuki compares it to learning a mother tongue. Every child masters their language perfectly by simply mimicking their parents, no matter how many difficulties the language contains, i.e. different accents or complicated dialects. This learning mechanism Suzuki trasfers into the music education and makes it the main element of the method. The basic idea is a wonderful and, more importantly, true assumption that we are all born with a talent.
